Girls State Finals

We would like to formally announce the Inaugural Indiana High School Girls State Finals.

There will be 2 Regionals held on Friday January 6, 2017:
North of 70- Rochester High School
South of 70- Franklin Community High School

The State Finals will be held on Friday January 13, 2017 at Hamilton Height High School.

The purpose of this event is to promote the sport of girls’ high school wrestling in the state of Indiana.  This will also provide an opportunity for colleges and universities to see our high school girl wrestlers in order to possibly open the door for scholarships.

We are very excited about this event as it will be a history making event.  Information regarding this event will continue to come to you via email but you can also check www.IHSGW.com, www.IHSWCA.org, Indiana Mat  and on Facebook IHSGW.

Sincerely,

The following weight classes will be wrestled:
88, 98, 106, 113, 120, 126, 132, 138, 145, 152, 160, 170, 182, 198, 220, 285

All wrestlers must have 4 official weigh-ins.
If the wrestler has made scratch weight 2 times they are eligible for a 2 lb. weight allowance.

There will be a team competition.  Points will be awarded the same as the IHSAA State Wrestling Finals.

Teams may enter more than one wrestler per weight class but must designate, when entering for Regionals, which wrestler will score for team points. Should the wrestler you have designated not advance to state but another wrestler on your team does, they will automatically become the team point scoring wrestler.

The top 4 wrestlers in each weight class at each Regional will advance to the state finals.
